Arrivé provides direct booking infrastructure for short stay properties in Kenya. When you interact with our system — through Instagram DM or a property using our platform — some of your personal information is processed. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
Arrivé operates as a data processor. The property you are booking with is the data controller. They are responsible for decisions about how your data is used. We process it on their behalf under their instruction.
What We Collect
Full name — provided during booking
Email address — for confirmation and follow-up communications
Phone number — for booking records and M-Pesa payment
Booking details — unit selected, check-in and check-out dates, amount paid
Payment reference — generated by Paystack for verification
We do not collect payment card details. All payments are processed directly by Paystack.

Marketing Communications and Consent
Booking confirmations, check-in details, and post-stay follow-ups are operational communications sent as part of the service. These do not require separate consent.
Promotional emails — seasonal offers, holiday discounts, return guest incentives — are sent only where you have been clearly informed during the booking process and given the opportunity to decline. This is disclosed before payment is made, not bundled with operational terms.
You can withdraw consent for promotional communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or replying STOP. Withdrawing from promotions does not affect operational booking communications.
Who We Share Your Data With
The property you are booking — they receive your name, email, phone, and booking details as the data controller
Paystack — for payment processing only
SendGrid (Twilio) — for email delivery only
Google — booking records are stored in Google Sheets
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with any party beyond those listed above.
Data Retention
Booking records are retained for a period necessary to support the property's operational and legal requirements — typically up to 2 years from your stay date, after which records are reviewed for deletion unless a legitimate reason to retain them exists.
You may request deletion of your data at any time. We will action this within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
